Introduction to AutoCAD basic commands, Code provision of IS-696 regarding Lines, Lettering and Dimensioning.
Session II: [3 hours]
Drawing of Scales (Plane Scales, Diagonal Scales, Vernier Scales and Scales of Chords)
Session III: [3 hours]
Construction of simple geometrical figures and Engineering curves
Session IV: [3 hours]
Orthographic Projections: Projection of a point situated in various quadrants, projections of straight lines, true length, true inclinations and traces of straight lines
Session V: [3 hours]
Orthographic Projections: auxiliary projections, auxiliary inclined and auxiliary vertical planes,
Session VI: [3 hours]
Projection of plane figures, Projection of simple solids
Session VII: [3 hours]
Auxiliary projection of solids, section of solids, true shape of section
Session VIII: [3 hours]
Development of surfaces: prisms, pyramids, cylinders,
Session IX: [3 hours]
Development of surfaces: cones, spheres, pipe bends
Session X: [3 hours]
Isometric projection: Principles, Isometric scales, Isometric projection of plane figures and simple solids.

To develop Basic Graphic skills.

Develop Skills in the Preparation of Basic Drawings.

Skills in Reading and Interpretation of Engineering Drawings.

Course Outcome

1 .

CO1: Basic learning of software tools to draw basic figures.
CO2: Comprehend general projection theory, with an emphasis on the use of orthographic projection to represent three-dimensional objects in two-dimensional views.
CO3: Apply auxiliary or sectional views to represent engineered parts most practically.
CO4: Understand the intersection and development of the surface of the body.
CO5: To interpret Orthographic, Isometric and Perspective views of objects.
