Module 1: Concept of Tribe, Tribes as indigenous people, Scheduled Tribes in India, Distribution of STs in India, Classification of tribes: Racial and Linguistic, Major tribes in India, Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups, Tribe and Caste.
