Chemical Kinetics: Alkaline hydrolysis of ethylacetate Kinetics of iodination of acetone by (i) Volumetry and (ii) Spectrophotometry Polarimetric determination of concentration of unknown sugar solution and Study of kinetics of inversion of sucrose.

Course Objective

These experiments are intended to acquaint the students with the practice of experimental physical chemistry and to understand the interconnection between experimental foundation and underlying theoretical principles |

The course is designed to apply the principles of thermodynamics, kinetics, spectroscopy and various other topics presented in the physical chemistry courses, in some illustrative experiments. The course also helps to develop laboratory skills to get familiar with a variety of measurement techniques. |
