Syllabus

The purpose of this Lab is to let the students work on designs related to automobile ergonomics, furniture ergonomics, products for physically handicapped, etc. Related design projects in collaborative groups or on individual basis will work on a topic formulated by the concerned faculty member.
The project may involve collaboration with students from other specializations, disciplines or institutes or with professionals from the industry.

To make students understand about ergonomic principles

1. Should able to understand and apply the anthropometry principles through experiments.
2. Should able to understand and apply the MSDs principles through experiments.
3. Should able to apply posture assessment tools.
4. Should able to evaluate ergonomic interventions through experiments.
5. Should able to propose design concepts for product and workspace development keeping in mind the concepts of ergonomics.
