Syllabus

1. Introduction to Working drawings:
Stages of the design process - from ideation to execution detail construction drawings as per contract documents with dimensions, labelling, and annotation.
2. Building plans:
Layout plan, excavation plan, foundation plan and details, plinth layout, floor plans, terrace plan showing drainage.
3. Elevations, sections, and details:
Working drawing of building elevations sections through toilets, staircases, and any critical areas, door-window schedule, staircase detail.

To be able to draw working drawings of a building and its architectural details.

To understand the translation of architectural drawings into ‘good for construction’ drawings.

1. Ability to familiarize with the nomenclature, graphics, symbols, formats, conventions, and compositional clarity associated with working drawings.
2. Ability to illustrate architectural details and other allied services.
3. Ability to produce construction drawings for a specific architectural project.
