To learn the properties of cement, aggregates, bricks, and reinforcing steel bars

To learn the properties of fresh and harden concrete

To learn the failure patterns of scaled model of RC beams

To learn the properties of harden concrete by performing the non-destructive tests.

Students will be able to
1. find the properties of cement, aggregates, bricks, and reinforcing steel bars by conducting laboratory tests according to relevant Indian standards.
2. find properties of fresh concrete by conducting tests according to Indian Standard.
3. find the compressive strength of 7 days, 14 days and 28 days harden concrete by loading it to failure
4. to perform laboratory tests on scaled structural models.
5. perform non-destructive tests on harden concrete to estimate its strength
