Module I- Concrete as Construction Material & Concrete Making Materials—I: Cement: Constituent materials, cement production, cement compositions, cement classifications, Supplementary cementing materials, Microstructure of cement hydrates. [6 hrs]

To understand the function and effects of cement, aggregate,admixture in concrete and their properties |

To understand concrete as a materials and its properties |
| 3 . |
To evaluate concrete as a building material by implementing various engineering concepts applied in field of Civil engineering. |

To understand the norms and their basis given in codes for mix design and quality assessment of concrete and its constituents |
