Adsorption: Types of isotherms, Equilibrium and kinetic models, Selection of adsorbents, Breakthrough analysis, Adsorber dynamics and design, Pressure swing adsorption, Simulated moving bed adsorption, Gravimetric-volumetric-gas chromatographic measurements of pure and mixed gas Simulated moving bed adsorption es, Ideal adsorption solution theory, Ion-exchange and chromatography. Membrane separation: Materials types and preparation of membranes, Membrane characterization, Membrane modules, Pressure driven membrane processes for liquid separation, concentration driven processes, Membrane gas separation. Crystallization: Crystal growth and characteristics of crystal size distribution, Crystallization equipment design. Transient diffusion and mass transfer with chemical reaction. |
