Module 1 :

MODULE I 5 HOURS
Introduction to Earth and formation theories, Understanding the earth, Atmosphere and processes governing environmental conditions, Effects of Aerosols on Clouds, Biosphere

MODULE II 9 HOURS
Earth's energy budget, Climate change, The geologic, Mineralogy and Earth Resources. Minerals, ores, petroleum, coal and natural gas- their origin, structure and composition, Concept and principles of Environmental Sustainability, Suggest sustainable waste processing technology and energy recovery, Suggest sustainable ways of hazardous waste disposal, sustainable solutions for air quality management.


MODULE III 9 HOURS
Tectonic, Hydrological and biogeochemical cycles. Study and significance of natural resources, Renewable biological resources, Wildlife conservation/ management, Fisheries, Forestry, Energy resources, Energy consumption, Scarcity and conservation. Mineral resources, Mineral availability and recycling, Air, water and soil resources, World food supply, Traditional agriculture, Green revolution,

MODULE IV 10 HOURS
Modern Aquaculture, Ecological impacts of modern agriculture, Organic farming. Natural hazards and processes, Environmental impacts, Global climate and hazards. Effect of population increase on environment, Historical perspective of growing environmental concerns, Environmental and social issues, Case studies regarding local local, regional and global environmental problems, Causes of global warming.

To have concept on basic biogeochemical cycles on earth.

To understand major environmental factors such as climate change, flood and their impact on environment.

To gain knowledge on natural resources and their impact on environment
