Module I – Geometric design and speed optimization (6 hours)

Course Objective

To Perform geometric design of track alignment by use of computer tools such as NovaPoint software |
| 2 . |
To Make speed calculations on the basis of track geometry and train parameters |
| 3 . |
To Design the track superstructure and select appropriate track components |
| 4 . |
To Perform traffic capacity calculations for simple and complex situations |
