Module 1: Landslide phenomenon: Types and causes of slope failures, Practical applications, Stability analysis of infinite slopes with or without water pressures, Stability analysis of finite and Infinite slopes: concept of factor of safety, pore pressure coefficients, Mass analysis, Wedge methods, friction circle method, Method of slices, Bishop’s method [10 hours]
