Module 1 :

Module I:
Experiment 1. (a) Determination of aggregate crushing value. (b) Determination of Los Angeles abrasion value of aggregates. [3 hrs.]
Experiment 2. Determination of aggregate impact value. [3 hrs.]
Module II:
Experiment 3. (a) Determination of fineness modulus of coarse aggregate. (b) Determination of fineness modulus of fine aggregate. [3 hrs.]
Experiment 4. Determination of stripping value of aggregate. [3 hrs.]
Module III:
Experiment 5. (a) Determination of bulking of sand. (b) Determination of workability of concrete. (c) Determination of flakiness index and elongation index of coarse aggregate. [3 hrs.]
Experiment 6. Determination of specific gravity and water absorption of coarse aggregate. [3 hrs.]
Module IV:
Experiment 7. (a) Determination of penetration value of bitumen. (b) Determination of softening point value of bitumen. [3 hrs.]
Experiment 8. (a) Determination of ductility value of bitumen. (b) Determination of flash and fire point of bitumen. (c) Determination of specific gravity of bitumen. [3 hrs.]
Module V:
Experiment 9. (a) Ageing of bituminous binders. (b) Marshall method of mix design. [3 hrs.]
Experiment 10. Demonstration of advanced equipments for characterization of pavement materials. [3 hrs.]
