Class 1: Basic understanding in environmental modeling
Class 2: Challenges in Environmental Modeling and simulation
Class 3: Modeling elements and processes
Class 4: Mathematical expressions with respect to environmental variables and types of equation
Class 5: Qualitative Vs Quantitative analysis approach
Class 6: Air pollution dispersion model (point source, line source, Gaussian dispersion model
Class 7: Air pollution dispersion model (Determination of stack height, sampling time corrections, Effects of inversion trap. Receptor models)
Class 8: Order of equation, Kinetics
Class 9: Adsorption isotherm models
Class 10: Langmuir Hinshelwood, Eley Rideal models

Course Objective

1 .

Develop mathematical model in light of air and water pollution related
issues

Course Outcome

1 .

CO1 Students will be able to understand the application of mathematical model in
environmental engineering
CO2 It develops knowledge in determination and transportation of pollutants in the
environment
CO3 Analyze and determine the best fitted model according to environmental condition
CO4 Understanding and analyze the air pollution modeling
CO5 It encompasses water and wastewater analytical methods of analysis
