Module-1: Introduction to Transportation Systems Planning Process (4 Hours)

Course Objective

Conversant with scope, limitations and study methodology of transportation systems planning at different levels such as regional, urban, rural etc. |

Familiar with different type of studies carried out to acquire data from primary source (field survey) and secondary sources |
| 3 . |
Acquainted with modelling approaches at each stages with numerical examples require to understand the four stage travel demand modelling |
| 4 . |
Acquire further understanding on the use of four stage travel demand modelling in different cases such land use, freight, activity and behavioural demand modelling |
