Module 1 :

Vector spaces, Subspaces, Linear span, Linear Independence and dependence, Bases and dimensions, Sums and direct sums, Quotient spaces. Linear transformations, Kernel and image of a linear transformation, Representation of linear transformations by matrices, Rank-nullity theorem, Change of bases for linear transformations, Base-change Matrices, Orthonormal bases, Gram-Schmidt process. Determinants, Eigenvalues and Eigenvectors, Characteristic Polynomial, Diagonalization, Proof of Cayley-Hamilton theorem, Solution of system of linear equations.
