Module I: Introduction: meaning, significance and objectives of planning legislation: constitutional basis and provisions relating to land, its development and use, concept of eminent domain, police power and taxation powers as basis of legislation.

To initiate students with the various legislations in existence in India which have an impact on urban and regional planning and development. It also makes students aware of their roles and responsibilities and professional ethics. |
