4. Study of Direct Rope Haulage and its application
5. Study of Endless Rope Haulage and its application
6. To study the different types of Rope Clips
7. Study of Main and Tail Rope Haulage and its application
8. To determine the peripheral velocity, speed, length and slip of belt drive
9. To study the ratchet and pawl arrangement in Sylvester Prop Withdrawer
10. Study of different types of Brakes & Clutches
11. To determine the discharge of water against total head using Centrifugal Pump
12. To study the human vibration using HVM-100

To familiarize students with the parts and function of jack hammer and electrical coal drill in mining industries.

To equip students with the knowledge and concept of wire ropes, capel, mine haulage system

To develop and enhance the knowledge of slip of belt drive, ratchet and pawl arrangement, centrifugal pump and human vibration measurement in mining industries.

1. To understand the concept and applications of capel and wire ropes in mines.
2. To estimate the performance of belt drive and centrifugal pump.
3. To develop the skill in understanding the components of jack hammer and electrical coal drill and its application in mines.
4. To know the underground rope haulage system for short and long-haul distance in mines.
5. To identify the importance of brakes and clutches in machines along with human vibration measurement.
