Module 1 :

Innovative Mining Technology in Opencast (High wall mining, Boundary pillar mining) and Underground mines (Sub-level caving, Block caving, Top-coal caving). Mining of narrow vein deposits.

Digitization & Digital Transformation in Mining, Robotics, Tele-monitoring in Mines, Short Interval Control (SIC), Interoperability, Innovations in Instrumentation and Communication System, Internet of Things (IoTs), Use of Virtual Reality and Mixed Reality

Application of Drones, Laser Scanner for surveying, mapping and monitoring in Mines. Tools for Digital Outcrop Mapping and Modelling, Digital rockmass characterization.

Automation in Mining, Digital Twining, Battery & Electric vehicles, Measurement While Drilling (MWD), Emerging technologies in Remote Sensing & GIS, De-carbonization and Green-mining.

Extra-Terrestrial Mining, Deep Sea Mining, Dredging, Mining in the Arctic. Bioleaching and Heap Leaching, Clean Coal Technology, Oil Sand mining, Tailings Re-mining

Emerging rock excavation approaches: Road header, Tunnel Boring machine, Raise borer, Blast-free mining.
