Syllabus

Module 1 :

Module I [6 hrs]
1. To analyze the water surface profile for a steady flow condition for the given discharge value and a known cross section and analyze the routing of a river using HEC-RAS.
2. To analyze the water surface profile for an unsteady flow condition for the given discharge value and analyze the routing of a river using HEC-RAS.

Module II [6 hrs]
1. To estimate the surface runoff of an urban catchment using SWMM.
2. To study the effectiveness of LIDs in storm water management.

Module III [9 hrs]
1. To simulate the precipitation-runoff process in a dendritic watershed system by using HEC-HMS.
2. To delineate a given watershed and calculate sub-basin parameters using HEC-HMS.
3. To estimate various hydrological components of a given watershed using HEC-HMS.

Module IV [9 hrs]
1. To delineate the watershed of a river basing using Arc-SWAT.
2. To perform HRU analysis of a delineated watershed using Arc-SWAT.
3. To estimate various hydrological components using Arc-SWAT.
