Soil in subgrade, subbase and unstabilised base: Basic and advanced engineering properties

Aggregate: Conventional and non-conventional aggregates used in paving and their characterization/evaluation 8 hrs |
| Module 3 : |
Bituminous binders: Properties, testing and applications of conventional, modified binders and emulsions, Material Characterisation of bituminous binders, Superpave concept 12 hrs |
| Module 4 : |
Bituminous mixes: Design, testing and evaluation by conventional and Superpave method 8 hrs

Materials for cement concrete and semi-rigid pavements, Design of PQC/DLC mixes. Design of mixes for stabilized roads, Non-conventional and new pavement materials- their application and limitations. |
