Syllabus

Module 1 :

Mix design of concrete as per I.S., A.C.I. & B.S. methods for high-performance concrete.

Module 2 :

Effect of minerals and chemical admixtures in concrete at fresh and hardened state relevant to workability, strength, and durability.

Module 3 :

Permeability tests on hardened concrete: Demonstration.

Module 4 :

Casting of composite material.

Module 5 :

Determination of composite material properties.

Module 6 :

Marshall's method of mix design.

Module 7 :

Testing on Steel and aluminum and determination of their material properties.

Module 8 :

Microstructure analysis using XRD for the construction materials.

Module 9 :

Microstructure analysis using EDS for the construction materials.

Module 10 :

Microstructure analysis using XRF for the construction materials.

Course Objective

1 .

This course will give a comprehensive understanding of High-Performance Concrete (HPC).

2 .

This course will provide an in-depth knowledge of the mechanical and chemical properties of construction materials.

3 .

This course will provide hands-on Experience in Composite Material casting and testing.

4 .

This course will provide the knowledge of microstructural analysis of construction materials.

The students will be able to have a comprehensive understanding of High-Performance Concrete (HPC).

The students will have an in-depth knowledge of the mechanical and chemical properties of construction materials.

The students will have hands-on experience in Composite Material casting and testing.
