Syllabus

Module 1 :

Fundamentals of Communication, Introduction to Design & Communication, Information, Cognition & Visual Communication, Visual Identity & Media Communication, Applied Communication Design & Audience Engagement Communication Design focuses on the foundations of visual communication that are relevant to a variety of disciplines, such as two dimensional composition, letterforms, typesetting, and the typographic grid. Practical design vocabulary will be covered, though the goals of the course aim much deeper. Through lectures, demonstrations, in-class exercises, readings, projects, and critiques, successful students will internalize the design process and the power of various communication techniques.
