To follow the thermodynamics and kinetics of phase transformations. |

To understand the principle of austenitizations and the implication of different parameters on kinetics. |

Understand various mechanisms of pearlitic, Baintitic, and martensitic Transformations in the Fe-C system. |

To understand age-hardening and recrystallization processes. |
