Course Objective

1 .

To provide basic understanding about aquifer characteristics, groundwater flow, groundwater management and groundwater resource estimation

2 .

To provide knowledge about groundwater chemistry

Course Outcome

1 .

CO1: Understanding the importance of hydrological cycle to quantify evaporation and infiltration processes
CO2: To develop skills to determine the aquifer characteristics and groundwater flow
CO3: To develop ability for identifying groundwater potential areas, and for assessing the groundwater resources
CO4: To know the processes for assessing groundwater quality and understand the governing mechanisms
CO5: To develop awareness about the ongoing problems related to water crisis and give knowledge about the mitigation strategies.
