Module 1 :

Experiment No. 1: From a given mineral analysis data from EPMA, calculate the structural formula of the mineral.
Experiment No. 2: Calculating oxide Wt% from formulae and normalizing analyses.
Experiment No. 3: Megascopic identification of different rock forming minerals: Quartz, Plagioclase, Pyroxene, Orthoclase, Topaz, Corundum, Chlorite, Kyanite, Sillimanite, Olivine, Biotite, Garnet, Muscovite, Staurolite, Hornblende, Talc, Gypsum etc.
Experiment No. 4: Microscopic identification of different rock forming minerals: Quartz, Plagioclase, Pyroxene, Orthoclase, Topaz, Corundum, Chlorite, Kyanite, Sillimanite, Olivine, Biotite, Garnet, Muscovite, Staurolite, Hornblende, Talc, Gypsum etc.
