Syllabus

Module 1 :

1. Determination of Cr(VI) from aqueous solution by using UV-Visible double beam spectrophotometer.
2. Determination of sulphate concentration in an unknown sample by using UV-Visible double beam spectrophotometer.
3. Determination of pH, Eh and EC
4. Determination of chloride and fluoride concentration by ion selective electrode.
5. Determination of alkalinity by titration method.
6. Determination of groundwater flow direction
7. Calculation of transmissivity (T) and storativity (s) by using Cooper-Jacob method.
8. Calculation of distance vs drawdown relation by Cooper-Jacob method.
9. Calculation of residual drawdown and transmissivity by using recovery test method.
10. Determination of the hydrogeological facies of a given sample by Piper diagram.
11. Resistivity survey for groundwater exploration

Course Objective

1 .

To train the students on the different techniques for determination of water quality, quantity and aquifer parameters
