Module 1 :

1. Micro-structure of cold-worked & annealed copper.
2.Studying the micro-structure of annealed, normalized& quenched steels.
3. Effect of tempering temperature on the micro-structure of rail steel.
4. Martensitic structure in Ferrous& Non-ferrous alloys.
5. Measurement of hardnenability.

Course Objective

Study of effect of different heat-treatment techniques on Ferrous& Non-ferrous alloys.
2 .

Study of hardenability.

Course Outcome

1 .

The students are expected to learn the various aspects of property development by means proper Heat-treatment schedule.
