Annealing of Carbon Steels: Annealing of low, medium, and high carbon steels, Metallography and hardness testing, Microstructural evolution with carbon content |
| Module 3 : |
Normalizing of Steels: Normalizing of low, medium and high carbon steels, Metallography and hardness testing |
| Module 4 : |
Quenching of Steels: water quenching of medium and high carbon steels, Martensite formation and hardness analysis, Crack sensitivity and internal stresses |

Tempering of Quenched Steels: Tempering at different temperatures, Hardness reduction, Tempered martensite structure |
