Course Objective

1 .

Familarization of the ANSYS interface to determine various mechanical parameters in an engineering component.

2 .

ANSYS-based analysis will allow the student to optimize the design of the component and ensures the safety.

3 .

Apart from the stress analysis, thermal analysis, CFD, life cycle assessment of a component can be learnt from the ANSYS-based simulation.

Course Outcome

1 .

Familarization of the ANSYS workbench.

2 .

ANSYS-based simulation is utilized to analyze the stress in a cantiliever beam, plate with a hole, and different morphologies of the engineering component.

3 .

ANSYS-based simulation is utilized to understand the buckling behavior.

4 .

ANSYS-based simulation is utilized to learn the three point beding test.

5 .

ANSYS-based simulation is utilized to conduct the thermal analysis.

6 .
