Experiment 1 : To study different types of furnaces (muffle furnace, tube furnace, high temperature chamber furnace, raising hearth furnace, high temperature furnace having hot modulus of rupture testing facilities)

Experiment 2: To study different type of heating element and their furnace

Experiment 3: To study the external parts of the furnaces

Experiment 4: To study the internal parts of the furnaces

Experiment 5: To study the inner lining of the furnace

Experiment 6: Calibration of K-type thermocouple with respect to millivolt reading by multimeter

Experiment 7: Operation and working of different types of PID controllers of different companies

To provide in-depth practical knowledge on operation of different high temperature furnaces and controllers

CO1: To learn operation of different types of furnaces and heating elements

CO4: To choose an optimum material for a certain practical application related to high temperature processing
