To provide a basic level scientific and technical understanding of chemistry to the first year engineering students. |

To have fundamental level understanding on Biomolecules, Polymers, dyes and pigments and Electrochemistry. |

To have understanding on basic spectroscopic techniques and their applications. |

To have basic understandings on different analytical techniques for detection and quantification of elements. |
