Experiment 1: Shear-thinning and shear-thickening behavior of the slurry: Requirements: Clay, quartz, bauxite powder, DI water, Darvan C, NaSiO3, measuring cylinders, 100 mL pots, porcelain balls, rheometer. 3 Hours

Educate the minor students about ceramic fabrication methods through hands-on experiments. |

To provide hands-on knowledge of various ceramic processing routes. |

To impart and develop basic knowledge and understanding of various ceramic parts processing and fabrication phenomena. |
Course Outcome

Minor students from other departments/ center will learn the basic ceramic processing methods and their application towards the fabrication of ceramic parts used as household items and in industry. |
