Composites-definition and classification introduction to matrix and reinforcement fibers: glass fibers, ceramic fibers, boron fiber, carbon fiber, aramid fiber matrix materials: polymer matrix, metal matrix, ceramic matrix interfaces fabrication of composites ceramic matrix composites micromechanics of composites: density, mechanical properties, thermal properties failure in composites: fracture modes in composites, debonding, fiber pullout, delamination fatigue and creep in composites. |
