Determination of average particle size from a given particulate material. Study on a ‘Jaw-crusher’ and operation of a ‘Jaw-crusher’. Determination of reduction ratio for the ‘Jaw-crusher’. Study on costruction and operation of a ‘Roll-crusher’. Study on construction of a ‘Ball-mill’ and the operation of the‘Ball-mill’. Determination of the critical speed of the ‘Ball-mill’. Determination of reduction ratio for the ‘Ball-mill’.Operation of a ‘Hydraulic-press’. Study on construction and working of a ‘Planetary-mixer’. Calculation of ‘mixing index’ statistically from given granular materials. Study the compaction behavior of granules with a ‘Hydraulic press’. |

Students are supposed to be versed with fundamental theories of ceramic processing adopted by industries. |
