[1] Study the characteristics of different microwave components.

Course Objective
| 1 . |
Students will be able to study various Microwave components and measure their parameters using Klystron/Gunn Oscillator |
| 2 . |
Students will be able to measure the VSWR, reflection coefficient, frequency, wavelength and impedance using a microwave test bench |
| 3 . |
Students will be able to study the characteristics of Directional Coupler and magic tee. Besides, they will be able to measure the radiation pattern of a horn antennas. |
| 4 . |
Students will be able to design and simulate a simple microstrip patch antenna structure using CST Microwave studio and HFSS. Besides, they will also learn teh uses of VNA (or Performance Network Analyzer (PNA)). |
