| The Institute was founded as Regional Engineering College on 15th Aug, 1961. The institute is one of the premier national level technical institutions in the country with reputation for excellence at under graduate, post graduate and doctoral level studies. The institute boasts of its state-of-art academic and research infrastructure. The institute spreads over an area of 262 hectares of land. It is a residential campus offering accommodation to faculty, staff and students. The campus has all the amenities for developing personal, social and academic skills of the student community.

| The Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Orissa, with its head-quarters at Rourkela was started in the year 2002. The University has 110 colleges, both constituent and affiliated, with around 58,000 students. | TARGET GROUP |
| The course is aimed at teachers of Technical/ Engineering colleges. However, the course is open to all university teachers who would like to upgrade the teaching methodology and also to brush up pedagogical concepts and tools. |

ACCOMMODATION

| Free boarding and lodging will be provided to the outstation participants at NIT, Rourkela. For the course in CVRCE, BBSR participants will have to make their own arrangements for stay. However, lunch and refreshment will be provided. |
