| NIT, Rourkela has two NCC platoons
in the corps of signals and engineers having strength of 120
cadets. These platoons functioning under 4(o) CTC NCC, Cuttack.
Young and energetic students enroll themselves in these platoons
for a bright career in Armed forces as well as in civil life.
They regularly attend camps like ATC, CATC, Army attachment
camps, NIC, Trekking, BLC etc. They attend the camps to undergo
rigorous drill and weapon training and exchange social and cultural
views with cadets from different parts of the country. National
integration of cadets achieved successfully by these camps.
These camps helped them top appear "B" and "C"
certificate examination in NCC. Around 100 cadres passed C certificate
and 200 cadres passed B certificates in the last two decades
from NIT Rourkela. Our cadres are known for their social work.
They plant trees and nourish them. They donate blood regularly
to the helpless and needy persons. They have shown their excellence
during the last supercyclone in the coastal district of Orissa. |
