Physical Education

Physical Education and sports is
the birthright to access, which is essential for full development
of one's personality.
Physical Education and Sports Department conducts Physical Education
Activities, Games and Sports Activities. Facilities for Football,
Cricket, Hockey, Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton, Lawn Tennis,
Table Tennis and Athletics are provided. An attractive stadium
with a pavilion for seven hundred spectators and an equipped
Gymnasium is available to improve the physical fitness of the
students as well as to engage them during recreation hours.
Indoor games facilities are also available inside hostel compounds.
The Institute teams participate in Inter College Tournaments
of Sambalpur University and sports event held in other Technical
Institutes, the Institute also conducts Inter College Tournaments
of varios events. Intramural Games (Inter Class) are also conducted
between the various classes. Cross country Races are also organized.
Annual Athletics meet is held with great fanfare.
Individual championship and group championship is awarded. Awards
are also given for best physique and outstanding performance
in Physical Activities.
The development of physical, intellectual and moral powers through
physical education and sports must be guaranteed the educational
systems.
Annual Activities
Physical Education and sports section have been conducting orientation
programme for the freshers by organising friendly matches in
different games and sports
Intermural games competition (Interclass) are conducted between
various classes. Every year, we have been conducting Annual
Atheletic meet. We are conducting coaching camp for different
games and sports. Our Institute team have been participating
in Inter Technical Tournaments and Inter R.E.C. / N.I.T. tournament
in different games and sports.
Weightlifting and Best Physique competition have been conducted
every year. |
