COURSE SUMMARY 
This course presents the theory and practice of digital image processing with Matlab. Numerous examples and practical hands-on exercises are included in the course. One major topic of image processing is covered in every lecture, typically consists of a discussion of the basic theoretical concepts and some examples illustrating practical imaging problems. The lectures provide a practical learning experience.
 
INSTRUCTORS
Professors having immense experience in image processing and signal processing shall present each topic of the course.
COURSE DELIVERY
Courses are delivered as instructor-led classes. Course topics are presented in the forenoon session followed by laboratory classes in the afternoon session. An essential constituent of course delivery is research related discussion on each topic.
 
INTENDED AUDIENCE
This staff development programme is being sponsored by MHRD-AICTE. The course is designed primarily for faculties of AICTE approved institutes. The participants would be benefited in improving their skills in image processing and carry out research independently.

Security Imaging
Acquaintance with introductory computer programming and familiarity with signal processing concepts would be of great help. However, it is not an essential criterion.
REGISTRATION
For registering in the programme, please fill in the registration form and send to the Coordinator along with a sum of Rs 300/- (Rupees Three Hundred Only) in the form of demand draft favouring Continuing Education, NIT Rourkela payable at Rourkela towards refundable registration fee.
This fee shall be refunded once you join the programme
Registration fee for the candidates not selected shall be sent by post
No amount shall be refunded to the selected candidates not joining the programme
Confirmation of your registration shall be intimated by e-mail. The participants are entitled to avail III AC Train Fare. The reimbursement of TA will be made as per AICTE guide lines such as production of necessary travel documents. Accommodation for participants shall be arranged in the Institute Guest House.
