The following Rules are illustrative and for any point the decision of the Institute authorities is final. The students are reminded that they individually (and countersigned by their parents) are bound by written undertaking that they are prepared to stay in whichever hall they are allotted and will not resist intermixing of students of different classes in halls, and that they will abide by the rules regulations of Halls. The Institute is essentially residential but in case of shortage of accommodation preference will be given to out-station students on first-come-first serve basis. Students whose parents have employing authorities based at Rourkela will be treated with lesser priority.
