Director’s Message

- Prof. S. K. Sarangi
It is my pride, pleasure and privilege to address all my faculty colleagues, students, staff
members, alumni and all concerned when our Institute is all set to observe the Golden Jubilee
Celebrations. Over the last half century, NIT Rourkela has passed through many phases of
success as well as of hardship but has always come out with glory and dignity. In the last
49 glorious years, it has groomed thousands of students who have achieved unparalleled
excellence in their personal and professional lives and have made their presence felt all over the
world. However, I believe that we still have to go many more miles before we actually become
a global leader in engineering education and research. Today, every faculty, staff and student
of NIT Rourkela is passionately committed to the mission of making our nation a world leader in
technology and science and nurtures this commitment with honesty, hard work and team spirit.
It gives me immense pleasure and great sense of honour to cordially invite you to our
great Institute and to its beautiful campus to be a part of the forthcoming Golden Jubilee. These celebrations will showcase our rich traditions and achievements and mark the beginning of a new era. |
