| The Computing Infrastructure at Computer Centre
Consist of Servers, Storage Devices and Thin Clients All Servers
are IBM manufactured. |

| Servers: There are 4 no:s of Application
Servers, each of these Servers have Dual CPU, Intel - Xeon 2.8
GHz Processor, 8 GBytes of RAM, RAID Controller, 2 x 72GB SCSI
drive. These Servers are IBM X365 Servers. |

| There are 8 more servers each with Dual Intel
Xeon 2.8 GHz DP Processor, 2 GB RAM, 4 x 36GB SCSI drive, RAID-5
Controller. These Servers are used as Authentication Servers,
File Server, Mail Server, Intranet Portal Server, Database Application
Servers and Library Resource Server. There are IBM X345 Servers.

| Storage: The Institute has
1TB of fibre channel storage device. The facility consists of
IBM Fas T600 with 1 TB of storage, a NAS Gateway and 2 no:s
of IBM SAN Switch. The servers can access this storage directly.
There is also 4 TB of LTO back library. |

| Thin Client Lab: The Computer Centre has
a thin client lab with 72 thin clients connected to Windows
2003 ES and Linux Server. All hostels also have 30 thin clients
with Windows XP embedded for round the clock operation. |
