About Chemistry Department
The Department of Chemistry offers 5 years Integrated M.Sc., two years M.Sc., and Doctoral research program leading to a Ph.D. degree in chemistry. The Department’s highly qualified faculties as well as its talented students carry out research activities on a number of research topics which are funded by various funding agencies such as DST, CSIR, DRDO, DBT, and BRNS, etc. They accomplish research in the fields of Inorganic, Organic, and Physical chemistry with special emphasis on heterogeneous/ homogeneous catalysis/ Adsorption studies, Environmental Pollution Control, Organic synthesis, Electrochemistry, Nanomaterials, Surface chemistry, Photochemistry, Solid state and structural chemistry, and Optoelectronics. The department is well-equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories as well as analytical Instruments such as NMR, ESI-MS, Cyclic voltametry, Surface area analyzer, UV-Vis, FTIR, and CHNS analyzer, etc. The research efforts of the department has been duly recognized and funded by DST for creating research facility under FIST programme.............
