About Ceramic Engineering Department
The Department of Ceramic Engineering, started in 1994 with a commited equipment grant of Rs. 15 Lakhs from Ministry of Human Resource Development, is now completing the final phase of it's laboratory development. In addition to the laboratories for chemical analysis, fuel testing, thermal analysis and high temperature work, the department has a full fledged Ceramic Workshop including facilities for Whiteware Refractories and Glass with a cement testing laboratory. The Department has a current generation X-ray Diffractometer and an advanced microscope having bright field, dark field, polarization and interference mode. An advanced facility for Electronic Ceramic has been established recently. The department, thus, is equipped to offer a degree programme with equal emphasis on traditional as well as modern ceramics. The Department is capable enough to start Master Degree Programme in Ceramic Engineering and steps have been taken for the same. ............
