Admission to the Ph.D. and M.Tech. (Res.) programmes are
open throughout the year. However, for convenience of
course work, the students are advised to start their programmes
in July and January i.e. at the beginning of the normal
semesters. |

Application Procedure |

The application forms for admission to Ph.D. / M.Tech.
(Res.) programmes can be downloded from the Institute website
www.nitrkl.ac.in. |
|
| The filled up forms with xerox copies of
required certificates and other documents may be submitted to the Assistant
Registrar, (Academic), NIT, Rourkela - 769 008 (Orissa). |
|
| The envelope containing the application
form and other details should be clearly superscribed
with "Application for Ph.D. / M.Tech. (Res.)"
on the top. Applications will be screened by the Academic
Committees and short listed candidates will be called
for interview at the Institute. No TA/DA will be provided
for coming to the interviews. The decision to call a candidate
for interview and his ultimate selection are based on
several criteria such as the candidate's academic record,
performance in the interview, his academic interest and
preference and facilities available in the Department.
Mere possession of required qualifications will not guarantee
selection. |
